Numerical Study on Performance Optimization of an Energy-Saving Insulated Window

Window energy consumption has become a key factor in designing buildings with optimal efficiency. To that end, herein, the use of an energy-saving insulated window (ESIW) is proposed, particularly for winter heat conservation. DeST software was used to evaluate properties house ESIW-structure window, as well six other structures currently on market. The results were subsequently compared. Furthermore, series numerical simulations carried out using Airpak investigate insulation performance four ESIW models (A, B, C, and D) under different influencing factors. Finally, response surface method (RSM) obtain structure installation conditions weight each factor. data shows houses windows exhibit more suitable indoor natural temperature; less heating load, cooling cumulative annual load; feasible price–load ratio than windows. average temperature gradually decreased decreasing electric heater power standard, increasing transfer coefficient (HTC) window-to-wall (WWR). Thus, standard (ESS) increases, importance WWR increases parallel. This study puts forward HTC prediction formula applicable conditions. thermal efficiency consisted = 1.07 W/m2 × K, 0.26, ESS 75%. demonstrates system broad adaptability operability, which can be applied building component.
